On the occasion of International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples 2025, the Bangladesh Indigenous Women's Network organised a discussion meeting and cultural programme on the theme 'The Role of Modern Technology in Protecting the Rights of Indigenous Women and Shaping Their Future.' The event was presided over by Lalsa Chakma, Vice President of the Bangladesh Indigenous Women's Network. After the discussion session, cultural performances were presented by the indigenous women's music band F Minor, the cultural team of Jahangirnagar University Arfi, and cultural groups representing the Tripura, Oraon, Bom, Khasi, and Garo communities, along with other indigenous artists. This initiative is part of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) Programme, implemented with technical support from GFA Consulting Group, and funded by the Embassy of Switzerland and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
