The second CFP of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme invited a preselected number of CSOs who became potential Strategic Partners (SPs) for the programme's implementation period. CEF Strategic Partners take on strategic roles in collaboration with the CEF Fund Management Agency to achieve CEF outcomes. These partnerships are expected to focus on thematic strategies relevant to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), while also converging with increased outreach to and mobilisation of diverse citizens at all levels, expanded cooperation among civil society entities, increased interaction between civil society and government representatives, and increased capacities of civil society organizations and community leaders. An additional responsibility of the Strategic Partners is not only to implement programme activities directly but also to support, mentor, and build the capacities of other CSO grantees within their engagements.
